This is important in order to ensure development pathways that transcend political, geographic, sectoral, organizational, and financial boundaries.

Access to the latest research and know-how is also important in ensuring the most efficient use of limited resources so as to achieve maximum impact.

Through generating knowledge and learning, in conjunction with various partners, the Commission will be able to coordinate the development and implementation of development plans that will withstand the test of time and politics as they will be based on stubborn facts.
