The National Planning Commission (NPC) on Monday, July 20, 2020 hosted heads of development partners agencies in a virtual meeting during which the heads of cooperation were briefed on preliminary outcomes from envisioning consultations on the country’s next long-term development vision.
Fifteen heads of cooperation participated in the highly interactive meeting.
Making a presentation on the envisioning outcomes to-date, NPC Director General, Dr. Thomas Munthali, said while engaging Malawians, NPC is carrying the message of positive thinking and a culture of getting things done for transformation to be realized in the country.
In the presentation, NPC Director General outlined the three pillars of agriculture productivity and commercialization, industrialization and urbanization as well as the seven enablers of mindset change, effective governance systems, enhanced public sector performance, private sector dynamism, human capital development, economic infrastructure, and environment sustainability in the new Vision framework that has emerged from the consultations.
