Homes Industries in Karonga has ventured into the manufacturing of a nutritious rice based porridge which will soon grace local shops. The company has already started taking orders and making deliveries across the country.
The company, owned and run by entrepreneur Victoria Msowoya-Mwafulirwa, started several years ago and specialises in agro-processing, producing cooking oil, honey and polished rice, among various products.
It is one of the first ventures that have been promoted by the National Planning Commission under its Ndizotheka Transformative Initiatives Programme.
