Malawi 2063 First 10-Year Implementation Plan (MIP-1) Indicator Handbook

The MIP-1 Indicator Handbook is a key reference document developed by the National Planning Commission, with support from UNDP and UNICEF, to guide the monitoring and evaluation of Malawi’s development agenda under Malawi 2063. It provides a standardised framework for tracking progress across the three Pillars and seven Enablers of the MW2063 Vision.

The Handbook defines agreed indicators, data sources, methodologies, and reporting responsibilities to ensure consistency, accuracy, and comparability of data across sectors and levels. It was developed through a consultative process involving government institutions, local authorities, and development partners.

Designed for policymakers, planners, technical officers, and development stakeholders, the Handbook strengthens evidence-based decision-making, accountability, and coordination in the implementation of the First 10-Year Implementation Plan (2021–2030).
